Window To The World Communications Description
Window to the World Communications, Inc. (hereafter known as WTTW) is Chicago's premiere public television and community outreach apparatus.
Our mission is to provide unique, relevant and valued content and services that enrich, engage and educate diverse communities in Chicago and around the world.
We strive to find safe harbors for children and families for learning and fun.
And we endeavor to learn about and understand the events and trends that shape our lives not to mention engaging and connecting with the rich cultural and intellectual life of Chicago.
Specifically, this internship consists of two community outreach events known as the Great Food Fan Van and Readers Are Leaders tours. The first focuses on healthy living via balanced nutrition and robust exercise while the second espouses the art of reading and storytelling in its many forms. This internship will include a wide range of administrative, promotional, and community outreach duties for the Program Marketing and Sales Departments. The intern will gain experience in the areas of community outreach, research and data collection, organization and promotion of community events and client relations.
