Role Description

SimpleRounds has ambitious goals to mobile-enable their enterprise and transform their customer facing mobile app presence in order to leverage the power of mobile computing. Toward that end, the Business Technology Mobile Center of Excellence is building a world-class internal team of rock star developers and UI experts.

This exciting team will:

• Develop world-class mobile apps (primarily iOS and Android)

• Drive the enablement of smartphones and tablet devices globally across all divisions of Simplerounds

• Build out mobile services across the organization

The Mobile Application Developer is responsible for the technical build of mobile solutions for our customer base.

Qualifications

•Bachelors degree (preferred but not required if equivalent courses provided) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

•2+ years relevant technical experience with emphasis on mobile software development (iOS or Android)

Responsibilities

1.Build iOS and/or Android apps according to technical design specifications.

2.Design, configure and implement software systems.

3.Follow Apple iOS and/or Google Android coding standards.

4.Write unit tests for new and existing code.

5.Design and build modular components to promote reuse.

6.Successfully work in an agile development organization with quick turn around and freedom to be extremely creative.

7.Must have experience in gathering requirements and good communication skills. Will conceptualize, design, build, and deploy small projects, plus contribute in multiple facets to larger team projects.

8.Application development experience with either internal corporate apps or external consumer apps available to the popular app stores.

9.Ensure that shared services are utilized, development standards are being adhered to and best practices are followed.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated progressive experience successfully designing, delivering and maintaining mobile apps. Must have demonstrated competency / expertise in:

•Knowledge of mobile technologies and architectures

•Objective-C and/or Java - optional and not required

•PHP object oriented programming skills required

•Hybrid technologies HTML5 / Javascript with Appcelerator Titanium is desired

•Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner

•Ability to identify and resolve application defects.

•Ability to think critically; to recognize and anticipate a problem (technical, operational, process, organizational) and to identify and implement or communicate the best solution in a timely manner.
