Students can work up to 1000 hours in a fiscal year (7.1.10- 6.30.11), receive a monthly transportation pass and earn $10/hr.

SCRRA/ Metrolink 2 Part-time, Paid Responsibilities

Support the division with various projects. Help formulate and clean-up project management control work reports, in the form of Excel spreadsheets and project management software. Apply knowledge of project management roles and functions in maintaining work tools: Project Sponsor, Project Manager, scope, budget and schedule. Compile monthly project department reports in the form of PDF files. Assist with monthly organization of project files in the form of electronic files. Help to troubleshoot and develop improvements to project management work tools. Assist with closing project numbers this will require research, ability to run and analyze various reports, gather information by meeting with PMs, recommend and implement close-out as appropriate.

SCRRA/ Metrolink 2 Part-time, Paid Requirements

Student must be an undergraduate or graduate studying Construction Engineering, Information Technology or a related field. Intern must have a class schedule that allows them to work 3 days a week for at least 4 hours each day. Student must have knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Student will have the ability to organize work and handle multiple requests and priorities; a professional demeanor and good written/verbal communication skills is required.
