    Technology internships
can encompass many different industries, including information technology (IT), computer science, social media, electronics, software, and so on. As you probably already know, technology has been booming over the last few decades. The US had the dot com boom in the late 1990’s, and more recently, the whole world has joined in the ‘technology race’ such as Japan and South Korea.

With the industry doing so well, companies are always looking for bright minds to help lead the future of the company’s technology. This is where technology internships come into play. For the student, it is a great way to get your foot in the door of a fast moving industry. For the company, it is an inexpensive way of training students who may become future full-time employees. Indeed, it is a win-win situation that benefits both parties.

To help give you some ideas of different companies that are offering technology internships, please see the list to the right. Here, we have organized a list of top internships along with descriptions of the company and the specific internships that are offered. The list includes household names such as Apple, Google, Microsoft and Facebook. Please visit these links to learn more about different opportunities that are available. This will help you get a better understanding of whether or not this company/internship is right for you. It is important to keep this in mind when applying for internships.

If you need help with writing your internship resume or cover letter, please check out our Internship Resources section. We provide examples that will help guide you in building the ideal resume and cover letter. Remember, cover letters are just as important as resumes, so even if the application does not require it, be sure to include it. Especially with technology internships, companies would like an idea of your technical expertise and often times, resumes are not enough to show that. Good luck!
