About the Position:

Engineering Intern (Santa Clara, CA)

VeriPic is offering an unpaid Engineering Intern position. The ideal candidate is an energetic creative overachiever who is passionate about working with computers.

This internship offers on-the-job experience in an exciting fast-paced environment. This position requires a 3 month commitment at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters.

VeriPic, Inc. Full-time, Unpaid Responsibilities

What You Will Learn:

• How to develop software for client computers and servers in the Microsoft environment.

• How to take a project through the development lifecycle from conception to release in a production environment.

• How to participate in creative brainstorms

• How to create interesting solutions to meet a specific markets’ needs

• How to test software

• How to troubleshoot computer environments

Pay, Hours, Commitment:

• Unpaid internship: School Credit

• Full-time job

• Hours per week: 40 hours with future possibility of a paid permanent position

• Commitment: 3 months

Required Skills:

• Currently enrolled in a 4 year university program leading to a degree at graduation

• Preference will be given to 4th year students

• You must have taken basic computer science or computer engineer related course work including C++/C#, databases, and multimedia.

• Show strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills

• Detailed oriented

• Quick learner

• Demonstrate ability to learn research skills

• No experience is necessary

Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer is a critical part of the sales team. Using a broad base of knowledge about hardware systems, computers and software, the Sales Engineer supports the sales department, both before and after sales, by answering technical questions from potential customers and serving as the expert when it comes to customers’ technical and operational needs. Other areas of responsibility include giving technical sales presentations, attending tradeshows and conferences, and analyzing and comparing the technical features of products.

Job Duties:

• Deliver technical solutions to current and prospective customers via web conferencing.

• Work with account managers to optimize customer experiences with VeriPic products.

• Communicate effectively with IT departments to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.

• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs and RFPs.

• Prepare and deliver sales demonstrations.

• Test user systems.

• Travel to various tradeshows (up to 1 week per month).

Job Requirements:

• Four- year university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics or related field

• Ability to define problems, establish facts and draw contextually appropriate conclusions

• Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong persuasive skills

• Ability to establish and foster long-term customer relationships

• Familiarity with common hardware systems

• Familiarity with the Microsoft stack, including Windows Server OS, Windows Client OS and SQL Server
