This is a non-paid position with commuter expense reimbursement up to $300 per month and daily lunch allowance reimbursement of $10

The Gate Media Group is the media planning and buying division of The Gate Worldwide, a full service, global ad agency.

We are seeking intern(s) to work with The Gate Media team to have an enriching experience in the channel planning, buying, social and analytic disciplines. This position will enable you learn and collaboration with supervisors to perform day-to-day activities during each step of the channel planning/buying process.

Interns may request that incremental tasks may be assigned which will broaden their role within the media department and the agency as a whole. The intern may also be exposed to new business initiatives in an educational and process setting.

Our Internship Program offers college students an opportunity to gain work experience in their specific areas of study to enhance their overall educational advancement. You and your Supervisor will prepare an educational plan to support your specific areas of interest for the term of the Internship.

The Gate Worldwide 2 Part-time, Unpaid Responsibilities

Introduction to Media Planning

a.Learn about digital advertising by working with media team to collect and review researchabout various websites and digital ad technologies

b.Gain thorough understanding of every phase of the media buying process by compilingand reviewing media recommendations, the collection and digestion of vendor collateral,the ongoing compilation of print tear-sheets and digital screenshots, and billingreconciliation

c.Work with the analytics department to learn how back end data affects the media buyingand planning process

d.Gain exposure to publisher and client meetings, when appropriate

e.Intern will receive a broad range of exposure and experience in the areas of businessrelations, project management and organizational skills that can be leveraged acrossmany industries

2.Introduction to Social Media

a.Social media has become a consistent and integral component in not only advertising butin business practices across industries, the internship provides the opportunity to:

i.Learn about social media as it relates to advertising by monitoring andresearching trends/best practices in social media

ii.Gain daily exposure to the social needs of clients through consistent sociallistening for current accounts and key competitors and creation of reports forinternal and client teams

iii.Get firsthand experience in social media management and content creationthrough assisting the team in content creation, management and curation acrossvarious social media accounts

iv.Learn how to optimize ongoing social media accounts by working with theanalytics department with the tracking and analytics of paid and unpaid socialmedia programs
