We have an immediate opening for a Digital Marketing and New Media Content and SEO Strategist. You must learn the products and services of the firm. The intern must develop and execute the company's digital content strategy plan.
Create the content framework as well as developing content which will assist with specific SEO and branding goals.
The intern we are looking for must measure and analyzing digital content effectiveness through tools such as Google Analytics also monitoring sales to see if specific goals are being met. They are responsible for writing web content and auditing existing website content and revise as needed. Determine where new and existing content would be needed in order to keep the consumer clicking through the website. The intern must monitoring all content to make sure it is responsive in order to meet requirements of various electronic devices such as laptops, desktops, tablets, smart phones, etc. Strategic brainstorming with the Marketing Team is a must. We are looking for an outstanding and energetic SEO specialist to be responsible for the innovative design, layout and optimization of JMIL websites. He/she will be responsible for augmenting features of our website including but not limited to home page design & layout, user interface, graphic, site layout and function.
JMIL 5 Part-time, Unpaid (College Credit Required) Responsibilities
Execute keyword research & utilizing keyword data to map out future of the SEO campaign
Hands-on optimization: page construction, improving site architecture & optimizing content
Fully manage link building campaigns: email outreach, phone outreach, building partnerships
Producing high quality, cutting edge content for our industry leading marketing blog
Consult with the Marketing Team to maximize SEO benefits when implementing our marketing initiatives.
Consult with the Content Team on page content to optimize our portfolio of keywords.
Monitor Google Webmaster Tools to identify site issues, such as crawl errors and html suggestions.
Monitor, track and report on SEO performance and trends.
Create SEO strategies for: keyword list development, URL and site architecture optimizations, content development, back-linking and other strategies that maximize indexing, rank, CTR and on-site conversion of SEO traffic
Develop strategic partnerships for content syndication and oversee / develop supporting content which includes blog posts, articles, white papers, advertorials, interviews, videos, info-graphics and more.
Create and execute link building plans with a focus on creating a diverse inbound link portfolio with tactics that fall in line with 2014 best practices, efforts will include targeting popular personal finance sites and niche blogs
Perform all on-site optimization, including writing optimized body copy, semantic markup, metadata, site maps, technical issues (bulky code, large files, HTML/CSS tweaks to enhance site speed etc.) and how to repair them
Understanding content distribution to get strong organic exposure while reaching our target audiences for lead generation, leveraging user-generated content, social media, guest post on industry blogs and PR efforts to drive targeted traffic
Advertising the content across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google + and other social media to get initial interest and jumpstart social sharing, understanding how to optimize campaigns for increasing click-throughs while reducing CPC and bounce rate

At least three years of Digital Marketing, New Media, Wed Content and/or SEO Management Experience
Experience working with consumer products
Experience writing content for websites
Experience using digital marketing and new media tools
Experience with the development and implementation of best practices
An extensive understanding of Google Analytics
Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook will all be used)
Experience with social media strategy
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
A creative mind
An organized and well executed approach
Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best practices
Create site layout/user interface in WordPress
Integrate data from various back-end services, plug-ins and databases
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
Create graphics and banner ads for advertisers
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
Manage interface between website and social media platforms
2-3+ years of proven experience in SEO (search engine optimization)
In-depth knowledge of WordPress, PHP, Jquery, and Mysqul platform.
A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
Advanced knowledge of Search Engine Optimization best practices
Social media experience
Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines with business acumen
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
Client interfacing experience with strong communication skills
Proficient with website reporting analytics tools
Strong knowledge of SEO keyword research and analysis
Ability to analyze reports and make recommendations
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to thrive in a fast paced startup environment
