“The International Professors Project is a non-profit worldwide network of volunteer professors, professionals, graduate and college students interested in development, especially in education.


We provide in-house pro bono assistance, and we draw upon sister nonprofits, in addition to a worldwide volunteer and friends network. We have a Google Grant and many free Google tools and services, and had a Google volunteer …plus some continuing technology company's pro bono contributions

International Professors Project 3 Part-time, Unpaid Responsibilities

? Design and implement websites from initial concept, site architecture, and user interface to finished deliverable

? Code and implement WordPress sites from Photoshop layout through html/CSS to a custom theme, functions, and plugins

? Design and implement new features, enhancements, and content of existing websites

? Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline WordPress development cycle

? Facilitate client WordPress training, site documentation and maintenance

? Design interfaces and graphics for presentations and mobile-delivered applications

International Professors Project 3 Part-time, Unpaid Requirements

Must have all of the experience listed below:

• 5+ years’ experience REQUIRED, preferably 7 + working in web development and interface design

• Strong knowledge of WordPress

• Strong knowledge of current web development languages (including HTML5, CSS3, PHP/MySQL)

• Familiarity with web standards and usability

• Active user of social media

• Flexibility and eagerness to identify, learn, and use new and changing technologies

• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

• Attention to detail

Other skills a plus…

• Familiarity with video for web a plus

• Familiarity with ASP .net, Javascript/VBScript, web server configurations (Windows and Linux) a plus

• Experience with dynamic, geo-related, data-driven and/or e-commerce sites a plus

• Motion graphics and/or 3D skills a big plus
