Incumbent serves as an iOS Developer, responsible for design, coding, testing and documentation of new features and software fixes on iOS Mobile products.

proximate technologies 5 Full-time, Paid Responsibilities

0-3+ years of hands on development experience on the iOS platform with a strong understanding of the iOS Architecture

Should provide references of at least 2 apps being launched to the App Store on which the developer has worked

Able to develop Native iPhone applications using Objective-C and C#. Good understanding of Hybrid Application Architecture and hands on skill working with HTML5/CSS3/jQuery Mobile is a nice to have

Should be able to understand the memory usage, object references and performance oriented coding

Should be able to work on developing views and UI for iPhone and iPad applications

Should understand the Apple user interface and coding standards

Should have experience with at least one of Subversion, SQL, XML, JSON and Web Services

Able to work on Agile and Test driven development

Able to work on unit testing, code coverage tools for Objective C

Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication

Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and testing skills

Exceptional analytical aptitude and attention to detail

Ability to self-manage assigned tasks and projects

Ability to work independently with minimal direction

Knowledge required (in order of importance): iOS Cocoa Touch Development, SCM (SVN or git), Objective-c. Familiarity with Java & Android development is a strong plus.

Knowledge of software development and project management processes, including Agile.

Knowledge of modeling, simulation, testing, quality assurance, usability, automation and coding.

Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices in mobile development.

Knowledge of performance profiling, memory management and multi-threaded coding.

Ability to understand how people want to use mobile technology and what will and won't work.
