BTI LLC Description

BTI LLC is seeking a creative, savvy Intern to design and create Web Pages from our library of domain names we own. This collection of names has many top tier names. We have business plans for some of these domain names. However, the person we choose to intern will have creative control. If the site(s) become a success and begins to generate revenue, there would be a paid position available with flexible hours.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Currently a Junior or Senior status currently enrolled in a Software Engineering or Computer Science degree program 1 year of web programming experience using Java and or C#* 1 year of experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create interactive web pages* Strong knowledge of MS-SQL Good communication skills Problem-solving skills

*Experience during school could be considered towards the 1 year requirement

The ideal Web Page Designer is creative, interested in Web Page Design and committed to seeing this project through to completion; has prior experience with web-authoring software such as DreamWeaver, FrontPage or knowledge of HTML or other languages; possesses the ability to convert end-user requests into web content that serves the business web sites; has the ability and/or willingness to develop and provide content for the organization's web site; is the editor of the site's content and gathers and researches information. Students seeking degrees in IT/IS, Computer Science, English, Journalism, Graphic Design, or Communications are encouraged to apply.

BTI LLC Part-time, Paid Requirements

Must be advanced in course level to be able to create websites.

– Experience in Dreamweaver, Front Page, or other web design tool

– Experience with LAMP implementations is preferred, but not required

– Understanding of a coding language(ideally PHP) and/or html code is preferred

– Creativity and a hard-working attitude

Interns must have a positive attitude, good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with all levels of the department. Interns must be self-motivated and personable with a positive customer service attitude and demeanor. Interns must have typing skills sufficient to create and edit web pages quickly and accurately. Interns must be able to work effectively in an interdependent team environment and have the ability to sit for long periods (up to 4 hours) in front of a computer. Helpful skills include HTML proficient skills, web pag-design skills, good organizational skills, and experience with Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Perl, MYSQL, and PHP.

The Intern(s) can work from their own location. So we can interview candidates from all locations.
