The Curriculum Development intern is responsible for developing STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) and Robotics curriculum for grades Pre-K through 3rd grade . This includes developing new curriculum, development of lessons, aligning curriculum to state standards, and formulating formative and summative assessments.
Effective communication with the Management Team, Branding Specialist and the Marketing Team.
Candidates with background knowledge and expertise in online learning, curriculum development, and learning management platforms are encouraged to apply.
Develop PreK- 3rd STEAM and Robotics curriculum in both online and offline formats;
Align curriculum to state standards;
Develop lessons and activities to meet specific state standards;
Develop assessments, for both online and offline;
Provide regular status reports for all activities related to the project;
Identify innovative strategies to meet the curricular demands of the program;
Work with software development team to define and refine the curriculum development system’s requirements;
Provide subject matter expertise as needed for various company efforts;
Staying current on most recent subject area strategies, trends and initiatives; and other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree in Education or related field.
Minimum of three (3) years successful secondary teaching experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of curriculum development experience.
Must enjoy a challenging work environment that requires significant flexibility, self-direction, and creativity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office programs)
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail skills
Ability to effectively meet deadlines
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently

We would like the curriculum to be completed by January 2017. If there is a team that is interested in working on the curriculum we will consider a team as well.
