Job Description & Goals
A Hollywood Reporter Advertising Internship allows students to work in an innovative, progressive, fast-paced, and professional environment. Working closely with the sales team, this internship is ideal for someone who is passionate about the entertainment industry and ready to receive first-hand experience.
This position is focused on emerging business models within entertainment category in the digital age. Digital marketing, advertising, social media, viral marketing, research, and organic traffic growth are all key elements of this role. Work closely with the THR.com digital team to maximize online efforts and operate at the forefront of all the new trends as it relates to the digital consumption of entertainment content.
? Support Advertising as required with mailings, media kits, database entry, lead-list generation, and general administrative tasks.
? Support Marketing as required for tactical activities including brief write-ups, research projects, marketing collateral, and social events.
? Work across all internal cross-functional departments to ensure communication and project objectives are met and delivered on time.
? Interest in the entertainment industry and pop culture
? Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
? Strong project management and problem solving skills
? Familiarity with existing social media applications (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
• Students must be registered for an internship for academic credit with their college or university
• Open to both undergraduate and post-graduate candidates.
• Must be available at least 8-15 hours a week
